The possibilities of twinning with a harness racing track, probably in Western Australia drew a step closer at the recent WTC in Paris, and an initial batch of 12 pacing fillies in training is being sourced.

Devonne Govender (24) a local Verulam boy has been in Perth for a year undergoing training as a professional harness racing driver under the mentorship of RWWA. Devonne returns home shortly and will be putting his new-found skills into good practical use locally. His participation as a C class driver at Australia’s A Grade tracks gives him a strong leg-up over local rivals not so lucky as to have gained this experience.
